This is for fini-mun's second design challenge! I ended up picking feather #2, so I had to draw a griffin inspired by a peafowl.
I had the choice not to, but I decided to keep the lion aspect for the griffin since I thought it fit well; lions and peacocks are symbols of royalty. Since male lions (generally) only have manes, and since male peafowls are the only ones that have luscious feathers, I fused both ideas together, giving this griffin a mane of feathers.
Onto the lore of this creature: this immortal griffin is the protector of life. He doesn’t interfere with life itself, he merely watches it with his many eyes. It’s said that those who find this legendary creature and pluck one of its feathers can gain immortality.
I met Matt, the owner of Tails’ Channel on YouTube while at Sonic Boom. Really swell guy, I got my picture taken with him and we hugged, it was awesome. I drew this for him on the bus ride to NYC and gave it to him in person. He absolutely loved it! He even hung it up on his wall.

Since today is the first day of Inktober AND my mother’s birthday, I decided to kill two birds with one stone. My mother collects Barbies, so I drew the original 1959 Barbie for her since it’s one of her favorites. (She loved the drawing, by the way!)
Hey everyone! I’m thinking about going to the Sonic Boom event in NYC, but I need a little bit more cash if I do go, which is why I’m opening up commissions for a short time!
I’m currently offering full color index card sketch drawings like the ones pictured above. $12 USD for one, or $20 for two!

Feel free to spread the word around, I’d really appreciate it! ^_^
